Our teenage driver’s education program has been designed to produce safer, more confident, and more experienced teenage drivers and to combat the problems associated with teenage driving. Our program is taught by state licensed instructors who are well trained, patient, and understanding.

Teenagers who successfully complete our traditional program will be issued a Certificate of Completion to meet the requirements of the Joshua Law, to receive possible insurance discounts, and to qualify for a $150.00 Georgia income tax credit.

Our basic traditional program consists of thirty hours of classroom instruction and six hours of private (one instructor/one student) in-car instruction. The cost of the basic program is $479.00. Additional two-hour in-car lessons are available at the rate of $129.00 per two-hour lesson.

Our expanded traditional programs offer the same thirty hours of classroom instruction, but with either ten hours of private in-car instruction for $699.00; or with twenty hours of private in-car instruction for $1,199.00; or with forty hours of private in-car instruction for $2,199.00. As with the basic traditional program, additional two-hour in-car lessons are available at the rate of $129.00 per two-hour lesson.

In 2004, the Georgia Department of Driver Services selected a limited number of driving schools to begin administering road tests to teenagers who successfully complete a teenage driver education program at that same school.  We were part of the pilot program, and once the program became a licensed program, we were licensed as a Third Party Testing school.  We can now administer a state road test to any teenager who successfully completes a teenage driver education program through Nathan's Driving School.  The student must have had his or her permit for a minimum of a year and a day before being eligible to take his or her road test with us.  Once the road test has been successfully passed, the student is issued a special certificate to take to a Department of Driver Services location to have his or her picture taken and have his or her license issued.  The fee for taking the road test at either our Chamblee location or at our Roswell location is $75.00.  Interested students must call our office to schedule a road test.  Due to the Department of Driver Services rules and regulations, students who use bioptic lenses are NOT eligible to take their road tests with us. 

NOTE:  For a limited time, any enrollment for any of the teenage driver education programs described above, we will reduce the price for a road test to be taken at either our Chamblee or Roswell locations from $75.00 to $50.00.  The fee for the road test MUST be included with the payment for the enrollment and cannot be added later.  If you wish to take advantage of this offer, simply check the appropriate box on the enrollment form and pay according to the following:

      Thirty hours of classroom instruction, six hours of in-car training, and one road test - $529.00

     Thirty hours of classroom instruction, ten hours of in-car training, and one road test - $749.00

     Thirty hours of classroom instruction, twenty hours of in-car training, and one road test - $1,249.00

     Thirty hours of classroom instruction, forty hours of in-car training, and one road test - $2,249.00

Note:  This reduced fee for the road test does NOT apply to any students who have already completed their driver education program.  The price reduction is being offered ONLY to students who enroll after February 1, 2009.

The Georgia Department of Driver Services now allows driver training schools to offer the thirty hours of classroom instruction online. Students who are interested in our virtual classroom program can go to NDSVirtual.com. The cost of the virtual classroom is $89.00 if taken alone, or it can be combined with six hours of private behind-the-wheel instruction for $479.00. As with our traditional program, we offer expanded programs with ten, twenty, or forty hours of private behind-the-wheel instruction at the same prices as those listed above. Students who want to take the virtual classroom along with in-car lessons need to register and pay the $89.00 for the virtual classroom portion of the program at NDSVirtual.com, complete "Driver Education  Enrollment Form", and mail or fax it in with payment of either $390.00, $640.00, $1,110.00 or $2,110.00. Students do need to be aware that teenagers who successfully complete the thirty hours of the virtual program and six, ten, twenty, or forty hours of behind-the-wheel instruction will receive a Certificate of Completion which will meet the requirements of the Joshua Law, but it may or may not be accepted by insurance companies, and it will not qualify for a $150.00 Georgia income tax credit.  Students who take the online course are also not eligible to take their road test at Nathan's Driving School.
